After a three week break following their first game of the season, S&L U14s travelled to Long Buckby to play against a side that we've not encountered for about 5 years. The lads were all excited following a really positive couple of weeks training and they took that positive energy into the game from the first whistle.
The first half was quite a tight affair but with both sides trying to play some open and attractive rugby it was a great watch. S&L shaded the first half and after a good half-time team talk, they focussed on a more direct style of play and pulled away to finish up winning 12 tries to 5.
A huge thank you to team at Long Buckby for their hospitality and we look forward to welcoming them back at Occupation Road in a couple of months!
