What a day the club had at Twickenham on Saturday 6th October with the U8s playing on the hallowed turf at HQ!
Parents and supporters took the trip down to watch the U8s boys and girl (Holly) take part in The Derby pre-match tournament. With the weather being wet and cold it didn't dampen the spirit of the U8s playing against Long Buckby, Buckingham, Peterborough and Northampton Old Scouts. Winning 1, Drawing 2 and losing 1 game.
The club was also asked to submit their match socks to the Saints where one of the players would wear them in the Premiership fixture. Taqele Naiyaravoro the Saints 20st Fijian Winger had the honour to wear the black and white hoops. with young Owen McCann from the U8s running out at kick off as Mascot with Taqele.
To finish of the day the U8s at halftime complete a parade around Twickenham being cheered on by the 40,000 crowd.
This was a once in a lifetime experience for the young side and one that the club hope they remember for a long time to come as the parents and coaches will!
