Building skills, growing confidence, and making friends on the pitch in a fantastic collaborative session.
The Stewarts & Lloyds girls' squad enjoyed a brilliant joint training session recently, teaming up with Oundle RFC. This collaboration provided a fantastic opportunity for our players to meet another newly formed team and put their rapidly developing rugby skills into practice.
With both sides boasting similar numbers, the setup created the perfect environment for some highly enjoyable, competitive gameplay. The players were able to test their abilities in a supportive and friendly setting, resulting in valuable learning experiences for every girl on the pitch.
To make the day even more impactful, the teams were incredibly fortunate to be joined by a guest coach from the Saracens Foundation. Their expert input and encouraging guidance added tremendous value to the session, helping the girls continue to build their confidence, refine their techniques, and gather exciting momentum as a newly formed squad.
The energy and sportsmanship on display were fantastic, and the girls were absolutely buzzing after the final whistle. It was a hugely successful day of rugby, development, and teamwork, and the squad cannot wait to do it all over again!
