Friday night lights bring a clinical shutout victory for the Under 15s as they defend home turf with pride.
Under the Friday night lights at Occupation Road, S&L U15 delivered a dominant, all-around performance to secure an impressive 26–0 victory over Oundle. Continuing their strong run of form this season, the squad showcased both attacking flair and a resolute defensive wall.
S&L started the match with incredible intensity and were rewarded early in the fixture. Jack crossed the line to ground the opening try, capping off a brilliant phase of play. Harry confidently added the conversion, giving S&L a 7–0 lead and setting a high standard for the rest of the evening.
The home side maintained their grip on territory and possession as the half progressed. Dictating the pace of the game, Harry stepped up to extend the advantage with a well-taken try of his own. He calmly slotted his second conversion, pushing the scoreline to 14–0 and reflecting the team's growing momentum.
A major highlight of the match was S&L’s outstanding defensive effort. The boys worked tirelessly to shut down Oundle’s attacks, forcing repeated turnovers and retaining control of the field. This relentless pressure paid dividends once again when Jack grabbed his second try of the night, finishing a powerful attacking sequence to push the lead to 19–0.
Maintaining their discipline and structure right through to the final whistle, S&L ensured there would be no late surprises. In the closing stages of the game, Toby powered his way over the whitewash for the team's fourth try. Harry once again provided the extras off the boot, sealing the comprehensive 26–0 scoreline.
It was a superb, unified team performance under the lights. The combination of an unyielding defense, controlled possession, and clinical finishing made this a well-deserved victory for the Under 15s.
