Stewarts & Lloyds U10s produced a remarkably strong display against Kettering this weekend, securing an impressive 20-4 victory. The final result perfectly reflects the dedication, teamwork, and fantastic attitude shown across the entire squad.
From the opening whistle, S&L played with incredible energy and intent. Direct running and strong carries created early pressure, allowing the team to move the ball beautifully across the field. Jenson opened the scoring with a powerful run, setting the tone for a match defined by excellent support play. Alex and Amelia quickly followed up with tries of their own. Even when Kettering managed to get on the scoresheet, S&L remained composed and organised, with Willow and Uri adding well-worked tries to keep the momentum firmly in Corby hands at the break.
The second half brought more of the same positive rugby. A great team move allowed Kai to break through for a score, while Alex, Amelia, Jenson, and Finn all kept the scoreboard ticking over. Stewarts & Lloyds U12s 4 - 9 Kettering U12s
Result: Kettering Win (9-4)
Brilliant breakdown work and immense character shown across four hard-fought quarters away at Kettering.
Led by Captain Kristofer, the U12s faced a tough away fixture against Kettering, playing across four ten-minute quarters. The team came out of the gates incredibly strong. Despite Kettering taking a narrow 2-1 lead in the first quarter, S&L dominated possession, consistently arriving first to the breakdown and playing some brilliant, front-foot rugby.
Kettering found their rhythm in the second quarter, but the S&L squad showed tremendous resilience and character to bounce back after the half-time break. The boys picked themselves up and took the game straight back to the opposition, with Braelyn crossing the whitewash twice in the third quarter to get S&L right back into the contest. The team continued to play well through the final ten minutes, fighting hard until the final whistle.

Stewarts & Lloyds U13s 6 - 4 Rugby St Andrews U13s
Result: S&L Win (6-4)
An outstanding second-half comeback secures a memorable and redemptive victory at Occupation Road.
This weekend’s clash at Occupation Road was all about redemption for the U13s. Having suffered a 15-0 defeat to Rugby St Andrews earlier in the season, the lads were highly motivated to show how far they have come—and they delivered in spectacular fashion.
The visitors struck first, but conceding early did not deter the S&L squad. They immediately fought their way back into the game, trading scores in a highly competitive first half that showcased great rugby from both sides. Going into the break narrowly trailing 3-4, the team knew they had the quality to turn the tide.
In the second half, the boys simply found another gear. They put on an absolute masterclass in defence, shutting out St Andrews completely for the remainder of the match. Paired with some fantastic attacking phases that resulted in excellent tries, S&L overturned the deficit to secure a brilliant 6-4 victory. It was a testament to their growth, teamwork, and fighting spirit this season.
