Tonight we fire up the Floodlights for a special reunion match! The 2009 Colts team have come back together for a one off game against a Wellingborough team, R2Rugby. The side have been putting in some time on the training pitch over the last few weeks and are fired up and ready for tonights match.

Speaking with Captain Greig Connor, who said: “Glad to see the old gang back together after nearly 10 years apart. Some of the guys haven’t touched a rugby ball since leaving colts back in 2009. No matter their fitness levels the game wouldn’t be the same with anyone missing. It was great to see how keen everybody was to come back to the club and pull together like we used to.”

Vice Captain James McCallum added: Thank you very much to Wellingborough return to rugby team for coming to our ground! Hopefully we can have some fun and games in the bar after the fun and games on the pitch!

“I’ve got a lot of respect for Wellingborough R2Rugby for stepping up to the mark and giving us the run out we all wanted when the reunion was suggested” added Greig.

The lads have been looking forward to this for some time and they are hoping for the big W which eluded them in the final game of their colts season. They will also be sporting a brand new kit for the game and hoping it brings with it some good fortune.

Kick off has moved to a slightly later time of 7:30pm. Make sure you come along and show your support. There will be food available and the bar is, of course, open. Should be a great evening and who doesnt love some Friday Night Rugby!

Best of luck to the lads!
