S&L U11s
It was the Under 11s first game of the season and we were away to Wellingborough.
All 11 players played really well with some good passing tackling and rucking.
We played 3 games and showed improvemnt with each game.
2 players played their first game George and Matthew and they did really well.
Player of the match goes to the whole team for a fantastic start to the season.
S&L U13s
It was the first game of the season for the under 13s, but this game has been the fore front of our plans for the last 3 months. Everything we’ve been practicing has come from the training field into game play and Daz, Mark and myself were surprised on how well the boys have implemented what they have been learning.
With an abundance of tries coming through out the game with 11 different try scorers, the boys did us proud. 5 of the tries coming from just one player, Patrick.
Just a special mention to the debutants, Harry, Josh, Rio, Jayden and Finlay. None of whom looked out of place.
Player of the match was Jayden. This was due to the physicality through out the game and also getting himself on the score sheet.
S&L U15s 77 - 20 Daventry U15s
S&L Under 15s delivered a dominant performance in a high-scoring clash against Daventry, running in a remarkable 13 tries to secure a commanding 77-20 victory.
Right from the kickoff, S&L set the tone with powerful carries, slick handling, and a relentless attacking mindset. The standout of the day was Owen, who lit up the field with five sensational tries, showcasing brute strength, agility, and a sharp eye for the line.
Jack added to the scoreboard with two well-taken tries, demonstrating great support play and finishing ability. There were also strong contributions from Caleb, Harry, Jacob, Andy, Toby and Elliot, each crossing the whitewash once to underline S&L’s all-around attacking threat.
At fly-half, Harry not only dotted down for a try but also kept the scoreboard ticking with the boot, slotting six conversions in a consistent kicking display.
Daventry showed resilience and managed to score 20 points of their own, but the day firmly belonged to S&L, who played with confidence, teamwork, and a clinical edge.
