On Saturday 11th May our Mini & Junior section held their Presentation afternoon outside in the glorious sunshine.
In the past we have used the clubhouse to hold the trophy presentations. But due to our ever growing youth section, alongside their proud and supportive parents, we were just running out of space. Thankfully the weather was very much on our side and so after the children had enjoyed their excellent 2 course dinner, we moved outside for the important bit.
Gary Mitchell started proceedings giving thanks to the volunteers who have worked hard and helped to make the day possible. He went on to announce a new venture for S&L RFC, as next season we are excited to tell you we will have our very own Ladies Rugby Team. More on that very soon.
With the formalaties out of the way, we worked through each age group, with a member of the committee presenting the awards to the children and the coaches had the opportunity to say a few words. All of the children were a credit to their teams and the club throught the day and were very paitient and curtious during the presentations.
The Mini & Junior Chairman, Ian Lawrence told us "The 2018/2019 season ended on a high with the presentation and dinner. Congratulations to everyone who received a trophy. I would like to thank my family and all the coaches for their help and I am looking forward to next season".
