The season might be over at S&L but a few of our juniors havn’t been resting. Rocco, Kai and Sol have been selected for the Northampton Saints DPP squads in their respective age groups, Under 14s and 15s. Over the last few weeks they have been playing for the Saints DPP and putting in some incredible winning performances.
Unfortunately for one of the young lads, Lucas, he has been unable to play due to a head injury but nevertheless was still selected and we are very proud of him and all of the lads. You don’t get these chances through luck but through hard work and dedication. Well done Lads.

We also have some news from our Colts section. Following on from being selected to represent this season’s U17 East Midlands squad, Rhys (U17), Ethan (U16) and Osiah (U16) all took part in their first game vs Eastern Counties where it finished 32 points each.
All three have strong links with S&L with Rhys and Ethan having played all the way through the mini junior section at the club and Osiah joining last season as a newcomer to the game. This year all 3 have been part of a joint venture between Oundle RFC and S&L where they have all benefitted in being involved at both clubs.
Ethan, having spent 3 seasons in the saints DPP programme and putting in some strong performances at recent academy trial games, has been included in the saints U17/18 academy squad ahead of next season.
This is all great to hear and we wish you lads the best of luck. We can’t wait to see how you all grow in the coming season and beyond.
