On Saturday 29th May, we will be remembering Andy Wood as his ashes are scattered on the first team pitch. Andy was a long term member & player at the club, who sadly passed away last year after a very short illness.

This Saturday, 16 of his rugby team mates are doing a gruelling 90+ mile bike ride from Scunthorpe to The club house. After which, Mick Foster, one of Andy’s oldest friends, will scatter his ashes on the first team pitch.

Andy spent time in Scunthorpe for work as well as having family there and his rugby friends have fond memories of playing rugby at “sunny Scummy”.  So they have taken on this challenge in Andy’s name.

The cyclists will be arriving at Corby Rugby Club around 4:30 - 5pm and have offered for anyone who would like to cycle the last mile with them to meet there. For those wanting to pay their respects at the club, arrive around 4pm.

The original Just Giving page is still live and if you would like to make any donations to Cransley Hospice through the page, you can find it here.
