We have been waiting for this week for a long time. As of today we are allowed to restart training at Occupation Road, for all ages! The RFU’s revised Return to Rugby Roadmap now states that, from the 29th March, we move to stage D1 and can start contact training (excluding scrums and mauls) as well as taking part in Ready4Rugby, O2 Touch and Tag matches.
This is extremely welcome news and we hope that you are as excited as us to see everyone getting back together and enjoying the sport we love. For now the clubhouse will remain closed as we continue to follow the government roadmap and guidelines, but will be open for use of the toilets only. When accessing the toilets we ask that you wear a mask and use hand sanitiser. Whilst on the sidelines or using the facilities please remain socially distanced from others at all times.
We have some new training days & times whilst we slowly work to get everyone back playing together safely.
Our juniors will be the first to return, with the under 12s starting on Tuesday 30th March at 6:30pm - 07:30pm and the under 13s & 15s on Wednesday 31st at 6:00pm - 7-30pm.
Our Seniors will start their training on Thursday 1st April. Going forward their training sessions will be Thursdays at 7pm and Saturdays at 1:30pm.
Our Minis age group will be the last to return and, due to Easter weekend, they won’t start until 11th April at 10am - 11:30am.
We look forward to seeing you back on the pitches and ask that you help support our volunteers and coaching staff by following the clubs new COVID procedures which have been put in place to ensure everyone’s safety.
