U8's v Northampton Mens Own.
It was an evenly scored match with some good tag rugby played by both teams.
We had Martha returning from a few months out, and Dante putting in an excellent performance in his first match for the club.
Sadly this will be the last time we face Mens Own, as their Mini & Junior section will be folding this season. We wish the coach and players all the best for their next endeavours.
U11's v Kettering
The U11's came against a physical Kettering side. They started with a bit of negativeness towards their opponents, letting them in for a few tries. But then, after a talk from their coaches, the boys started to come back into the game. With some great running and off loading they started to score a few tries. I know the scrums are uncontested, apart from the hookers, but this worked in S&L’s favour stealing a few of Kettering’s ball from the scrum. Ignoring the slow start, the team done well and the game was played in good spirits, which the team and coaches should be proud of.

U12's v Kettering
The u12s played in there local derby against Kettering u12s and both teams played some great rugby. Kettering scored 3 tries really quickly from their centre who was really dominant in the game. In the 2nd half, S&L started to play some good rugby coming out winners, 9-5.
