Winter has definitely arrived at Occupation Road! S&L U15s hosted Rugby St Andrews, a side the team had never played before, so they were expecting the unexpected.
First half, S&L played up the hill and struggled to get into their rhythm, with St Andrews using their three main ball carriers to good effect. The game was evenly matched with both teams scoring three tries. St Andrews converted them all and S&L converting two. 21-19 at half-time.
S&L started the second half with a great intent and used the hill well. They got into their patterns much better and the St Andrews team ill-discipline, coupled with some excellent runs, saw the lads run in 4 converted scores.
