On Sunday, S&L U15s travelled down the A6 to Rushden & Higham for another East Northants rivalry match. After a good game last week, with some rust knocked off, a strong start was hoped for.

The team did not disappoint with heavy hitting and hard running from the start, first half scores from Sol, Ben (2) and JJ, all converted by Grayson, gave S&L a well deserved 28-7 half-time lead.
The second half started well with another try, scored by Evan, again converted by Grayson. Rushden then got the ball into the hands of their big prop and fast wingers more often and came back into it with 3 tries, clawing themselves back to 35-26. This gave S&L a wake up call, resulting in two unconverted scores for Sol. Rushden had the last word with a fine converted score on the last play. End result Rushden 33 - 45 S&L.
Player of the match was Sol.
