S&L U15s hosted local friends / rivals Rushden & Higham in a league game, rearranged from before Christmas.
After the recent wet weather the pitch was a little heavy under foot but that didn't stop the S&L boys from trying to use the ball from the off.
With the hill and the wind in the first half, S&L were perhaps expecting to have an easier time of it, yet conceded the first try which was converted by the Rushden fly half. This kick started the team who then went back to basics and some good pressure resulted in a well worked try for Dylan. Conversion missed.
Further S&L pressure over the next 5-10 minutes kept Rushden pinned in their half and a training ground move from the lineout saw Rhys sneak down the blindside and score. Grayson converting a tough kick from out wide.

Playing against the elements in the second half, S&L continued to carry strongly and dominate at the scrum with new boy Josh putting in a storming first performance. A strong carry from Evan resulted in another try, with the conversion missed. Another blindside sneak off the lineout was scored by Ashton and Rushden scored one final try to make the last 5 minutes tense.
