As the sun shone, S&L U16s travelled to Leicester Forest for a game against a side that they've had close games against over the past two seasons.

Unfortunately for S&L they started slowly and made things difficult for themselves with some uncharacteristic handling errors. Whether it was the sunshine, the journey, or some late nights watching the rugby, the boys took 30 minutes to get into the game, by which point they were 23-0 down. In the final moments of the half, some good phases and strong carriers saw Ben power through a number of tackles and run in a score to end the half on a high. 23-5.
The second half saw a much more even contest with S&L on top for a large majority of it, scoring again through Dylan, with Grayson converting. 23-12. Unfortunately, the come back was halted with a slight drop off in intensity which saw Forest score two quick tries, both unconverted. 33-12.
A final burst from S&L resulted in Ben scoring again to see the game finish 33-17. Player of the match was Thomas.
Next week the team host Long Buckby for should be another good game!
